APMG-Meredith Peake

Meredith Peake, MD named pathology director at Portland Adventist Medical Center

Dr. Peake is a senior member of APMG and was recently selected by Portland Adventist Medical Center and Tillamook County General Hospital to be the Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Medical Director. She will soon be joined by the two newest members of APMG:

Si Nguyen, MD Honored with CAP Spotlight Award

Earlier this year, Alfred Liu, MD, FCAP, immediate past president of the California Society of Pathologists, nominated Dr. Nguyen for a CAP Pathologist Spotlight Service Award, which recognizes exceptional contributions to patient care through the specialty of pathology. The CAP leadership concurred, and he received the award in June.

CAP Color Atlas of the Urinary Sediment on sale

APMG member Eric F. Glassy, MD is one of the editors and also did the layout and graphics for the CAP Color Atlas of the Urinary Sediment. The book presents a new approach to urine sediment evaluation. Following the format of the previous CAP color atlases, the text includes photomicrographs of the urinary sediment, a discussion of the pertinent morphologic features of each element, and the results of the identification of the particular element by both referees and participants in the CAP proficiency testing program.
